Hey do you like flowers?
The Flower Fields @ Carlsbad Ranch has over fifty acres of of Ranunculus Flowers. The ranunculus flower is native to Asia Minor and is a member of the buttercup family, but all you'll notice are rows and rows of incredible color. It's like immersing yourself in an impressionist painting!
I've been visiting the Flower Fields since 2017 with my family. It kicks off Spring for us, and we look forward to the blooms every year. It's a nature prescription for urbanites! We need to spend more time outdoors and this is the place to be.
At the time of our visit, forty-eight acres were in full bloom! That's the best looking bloom in eighteen years!

- Flower Flow Yoga (Mar 30 // 8:30AM-9:30AM April 6, 13, 20, 27 from 8:30-9:30AM) - A special one-hour outdoor yoga flow overlooking the blooming Tecolote® Giant Ranunculus at The Flower Fields. Included in your ticket is entry to The Flower Fields, a one-hour all-levels yoga class and photos made available after class.
- Drawing Sunflowers Together! (Saturday, March 30) - Learn how to draw sunflowers with local artist, Sharon Belknap! Discover a new way to approach drawing that’s fun and relaxing. Take home your own framed sunflower masterpiece! Ticket includes admission to The Flower Fields.
- Picnics & Flowers 2024 (Mar 30, Mar 31) - Enjoy a luxury picnic lunch overlooking millions of ranunculus flowers! Come for the views but stay for lunch, live music + more! Private parking + wagon rides are also included. Pop Up Picnic Co™ is proud to present the 2nd annual PICNICS + FLOWERS™ pop-up event at the Carlsbad Flower Fields! Enjoy a picnic lunch atop the Flower Fields and stay to explore millions of ranunculus in bloom!
- Sunset Wine Tasting & Music (Mar 29, April 5, 12, 19, 26; May 3, 10 from 6-8PM): - Enjoy an intimate wine experience with Advanced Sommelier Lamar Engel of The Wine Militia featuring premium wines and food bites all paired to songs played by live musical artists. Watch the sun as it sets on 50 acres of ranunculus flowers varying in a myriad of colors.
- Meditation and Sound Healing Workshop (Mar 29, April 12, 6-7PM) - A sound healing and meditation journey overlooking the famous Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch. This unique meditation space will overlook the flowers and provide views of the Ocean in the distance. This immersive experience will guide you through relaxation and grounding techniques to provide you with calm and clarity heading into your weekend.
- Flower Crown Workshop (Mar 30) - Learn how to make flower crowns and body flower art. Learn basic flower wrapping techniques with local spring flowers, fillers & greens to create your own special flower crown.
- Easter Service (Mar 31) - Join the Fields Church at their Easter Sunrise Service as they return to The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. Dress warmly for this outdoor event. After worship and a message, join us for breakfast (for the first 500) and fellowship.
- Tea in the Garden (Mar 31) - Enjoy a relaxing tea & delightful food catered in a tranquil floral setting. Take a moment to delight in the beauty of nature all around us. Admission to The Flower Fields is included in the cost of this event

See Oceanside-based contemporary pop surrealist painter and muralist Michael Summers painting a large mural in the Master Gardeners Demonstration Garden.
There are plenty of casual dining options at The Fields from tacos to pizza, fresh lemonade, kettle corn, and ice cream.
It's a wonderful place to spend the day!
