The Spirit of Harriet Tubman a one woman show starring actress Leslie McCurdy brings the story of the famous Underground Railroad conductor to life in Tubman's own words. Some of these stories are rarely told, and others are more widely know, but one thing they convey is the faith and conviction that motivated Tubman to lead others to freedom.
The Spirit of Harriet Tubman stars actress Leslie McCurdy, a recipient of the Mayor’s Awards for "Artist of the Year" and "Outstanding Performing Artist” of Windsor Ontario.
Each performance is followed by a Q&A discussion, where Leslie explores themes in the play and compares them to today's issues.

Actress Leslie McCurdy is actually a Canadian descendant of the Underground Railroad. She grew up in a border city between two cultures which gives her a unique perspective on Black history and current events.
