There are plenty of venues to celebrate Chinese New Year in San Diego this month. These events are open to everyone. It's a great opportunity to experience a rich, vibrant culture with family and friends.

Celebrate Lunar New Year @ SeaWorld San Diego

February 10 and 11, 2024

The sights, sounds and aromas of Asia come alive during this local San Diego festival that’s fit for the whole family. SeaWorld’s one-of-a-kind Lunar New Year celebration, featuring local performers and Asian food offerings of Fried Rice, Chow Mein, Bao Buns, Beef Bulgogi, and more! *Included with paid admission to SeaWorld, and annual pass members.

This is a great two day celebration in the heart of Balboa Park's International Cottages. There's plenty of entertainment- Chinese dancers, music, and fantastic food. We highly recommend visiting this incredible event.

Enjoy the Lunar New Year and Wild Weekend: Asian Rainforest at the San Diego Zoo. Discover fun activities for the whole family. Share your wish for wildlife on the wishing tree, meet a specialist and learn about red pandas, tigers, snow leopards, and sun bears. This fair showcases Asian art and culture, live performances, Chinese and Asian food, commercial booths, lion and dragon dancing, children’s arts and crafts and more for audiences of all ages. I've gone to this festival with my family, and it's my personal favorite. This is a two day event that lasts all day. It's non-stop fun!
