The Grinch's Grotto at The Westfield UTC Mall is the place to be this holiday season.
I went with my son recently for a photo session. At the Grotto you get more than a picture with the infamous Grinch, it's a chance to spend time with him and have a conversation. He really brought us into the holiday spirit. The session also included two holiday ornaments, a Grinch pin, Grinch wrapping paper, a printed photo from the session, plus access to our photos online.
There's also a gift shop with everything Dr. Seuss available for purchase. Dr. Seuss aka Theodor Geisel lived in San Diego for many years, and has an indelible place in San Diegan's hearts. Growing up with the Grinch, and sharing this beloved character with my child makes the season extra special.
While in the mall, don't forget to check out the Snow Globe Collection. Dancers are in gigantic snow globes throughout the mall from 4 PM to 8 PM Wednesday through Friday until December 18th. We also saw dancers on stilts in festive winter costumes. Holiday music, decorations, and snow machines help bring in the holiday cheer.

You'll find gifts that run the gamut from Lego's to Tesla's you can find something for everyone on your Christmas list.
We treated ourselves to dinner from True Foods Kitchen. We took home Lasagna Bolognese with fennel chicken sausage, mushroom, organic spinach, ricotta, herbs, and a Grass Fed Burger with umami, mushroom, caramelized onion, arugula, parmesan, and mayonnaise, on a flaxseed bun. Both entrees were tasty, filling, and as we found out good for us and the planet. It was great enjoying a restaurant quality meal on the go. We miss in person dining, but it's wonderful to know that you can still enjoy good food.
