Botanic Wonderland @ San Diego Botanic Garden

Botanic Wonderland will awaken your holiday spirit! I went on a Sunday evening with my son and friends. As we walked along the 37 acre holiday trail adorned with lights. We experienced live caroling and a snow machine!

This family-friendly event includes festive displays of lighted animals, and laser lighting. San Diego Botanic Garden has a waterfall. At night it's captivating, and lit with Christmas lights. We also enjoyed sitting at the fire pits, and listening to live Christmas music.

Botanic Wonderland is a great way to experience the holidays, and The San Diego Botanic Garden. I have been to SDBG during the day and at night, both settings are enchanting, and worth the trip.

It's also an ideal way to experience Christmas safely, outdoors, wearing masks, and practicing social distancing. Reservations are required, and all patrons are given a time slot.

What We Loved Most About Botanic Wonderland

The children loved the train. I loved the four miles of trails and open space. Kids need three hours of exercise a day, and with distance learning they aren't getting enough outdoor time. So it was wonderful to experience the crisp December air instead of being cooped up indoors. Let's face it, the holidays are different this year, but venues like Botanic Wonderland at San Diego Botanic Garden, affords you the opportunity to still celebrate the season. When you hear caroling, and enjoy a cup of cocoa, you feel Christmas, and that's what everyone needs especially nowadays!
