Great News! Camps are open this summer some are in person, others are strictly virtual . We compiled a list of 3 exceptional camps for kids ages 2 to teen.
Kids benefit from going to camp. Studies show that children learn social skills, build friendships, confidence, learn the value of leadership, combat nature deficit disorder, and most importantly continue their education during the summer avoiding the summer slide.
The Sally Ride Science Junior Academy -Virtual Camp
Spend the summer exploring oceans, coding websites, and making a mess (in the name of science) – all from home. We’re all in this together. Between work from home policies, school closures, and social distancing, we are committed to providing quality STEAM programming that supports your child’s educational needs. Our online summer program features STEAM workshops for elementary, middle, and high school students led by expert instructors that provide the opportunity to delve into topics that intrigue them – and maybe take away some career inspiration. These workshops provide hands-on learning that puts the student in the role of space explorer, marine biologist, computer programmer, and more!

Mathnasium of Point Loma-Virtual Camp
Back by popular demand is the Math in Motion: Math + Robotics Summer camp. Camp will run Monday-Friday, 1-4 PM, with the first hours spent on robotics and the last spent on their Mathnasium binder. New this year: Avoid the COVID slide by choosing one of the Math Boot Camp options to catch up, keep up or get ahead. Camp will run Monday-Friday, and last 1 hour. Select from: fractions, algebra, multiplication, middle school math or SAT Prep.

COVID-19 Update - Kid Ventures is pleased to offer a modified Summer Care Program that adheres to State and Local guidelines and puts the health and well being of our staff and our most precious assets--our children--first! Kid Ventures Camps help you, the parent, have some free time, while your child is busy having the time of their life! Sign your child up for a day, a week, or longer—depending on YOUR needs. Our creative camp themes engage all the senses with opportunities to develop gross motor skills, improve social interaction, and explore creative play—but don’t tell the kids—they just think it’s fun!
Feel confident that your campers are in the best possible hands at Kid Ventures. Along with loving children, all KV camp counselors and employees have FBI background checks and are required to complete CPR and first aid certification.

Additionally, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego Summer Camp, and YMCA Summer Camps will both be open this summer but at fewer locations, and with smaller camp groups.
