Make it your resolution in 2020 to take part in the many cultural events in America's Finest City. Chinese New Year is exciting! Last year we went to the Chinese Lunar Fair in the Gaslamp and feasted on Asian food, saw live dragon dances, and Kung Fu demonstrations. Check out these free and low cost events in San Diego!



Chinese New Year Celebration @ SeaWorld

Weekends January 11, 2020 - February 2, 2020 (included with paid admission to SeaWorld)

SeaWorld's Lunar New Year celebration features a Chinese acrobats show, local performers, and delicious culinary delights like Ramen, Lo Mein, Bao Buns, Dim Sum, rice dishes and more.

38th Annual Chinese New Year Fair 

Saturday Feb 8 at 10 AM, and Sunday Feb 9 at 5 PM

Celebrate the Year of the Rat with traditional and cultural entertainment all day long on both days, LION DANCES, kung fu, traditional instruments, classical dance troupes, and so much more! Food, family-friendly entertainment, crafts for kids, a dragon dance, vendors, and so much more fun than you can expect! This event is FREE to the public!

The Rat is the Chinese zodiac sign known for being inquisitive, shrewd, and resourceful. The Rat is also the first in the rotation of the 12 zodiac signs, meaning that a Rat year is a year of renewal.
