@ The San Diego Zoo Until January 5th!

By Courtney Daly-Pavone December 18, 2019

The San Diego Zoo is The #1 Zoo in the World.

No wonder it's the best place to spend the holidays!

Don't Miss Aurora a new light show at The San Diego Zoo happening nightly at 7:45 pm. It's a blend of music and 3-D projection that tells a story about nature.

  • December 13–23: Noon to 8 p.m.
  • December 24: Noon to 4 p.m.
  • December 25: Noon to 8 p.m.

We went to the zoo in the morning rode the zoo bus, and saw tons of animals active in the sunlight.

It was such a glorious day with Christmas tunes playing, and festive decor.

Baboons, the Tasmanian devil, polar bear, elephants, the cheetah, giraffe's were all on view.

We also stayed through the night for Jungle Bells

At Jungle Bells, we saw carolers, a brass band, acrobats, a reading of Dr. Zoolittle's Wild Night Before Christmas.

There are Christmas decorations throughout the zoo, and the last show of the night Aurora is an exciting visual and sound experience!

Aurora weaves 3-D projections, music, and light into a spectacular performance.

Jungle Bells is happening now until January 5th, 2020. The zoo is open late during this special holiday season.
