Visit San Diego Natural History Museum's Living Lab!

New Exhibit

By Courtney Daly-Pavone November 22, 2019

Living Lab Opens Now Open Check It Out!

We recently visited The San Diego Natural History Museums Living Lab which features regional animals. The kids loved the bee hive, collection of snakes and lizards. It's another reason to love the Nat!

Meet red diamond rattlesnake, an observation bee hive, a Gila monster, a variety of centipedes, arachnids, and more when The Nat has taken these animals out of the basement vivarium, and are showing them to the public in this unique exhibit. Living Lab brings you eye to eye with native species that are rarely seen because of their reclusive nature, or nocturnal lifestyle. Visitors can find out more about their adaptations that help them survive.

Don't Miss The Giant Screen Theater

The Nat has 3D movies included with museum admission. We checked out Ocean Oasis, a film about marine life and biodiversity in the Baja Peninsula and Conquest of the Skies which looks at the evolution of flight in animals from insects to dinosaurs to birds. These films are not only educational, they're captivating for audiences of all ages. They teach you to see the big picture which includes all life on this planet.

Congratulations to our contest winner Emily T. of San Diego. Emily won 4 tickets to Living Lab!
