Don't Miss Stagecoach Days Celebrate History!

Closest Thing To Time Travel!

Every Saturday from noon to 4:00 pm there will be plenty of old-fashioned fun from the mid-1800s in Old Town State Historic Park. Each Saturday has a different theme, with living history activities, demonstrations, stories, dance, and songs.

Stagecoach Days is an annual tradition in our family. One year at Twainfest my son won ten books playing historical jeopardy! I also remember seeing a war triage with soldiers. Kids were encouraged to make tourniquets, and hear stories from the battlefield. It's a great way to bring history to life, and engage kids in learning!

Of course Old Town offers fun any given day of the week thanks to Estudillo House, The Wells Fargo Museum, Seely Stable Museum and many more free museums in the area. It's a great way to spend the day outdoors with your family!

Here's What's Happening @ Stagecoach Days 2019!

Women of the West – July 27
Celebrate little-told stories of settlers who made the frontier a home. See the role women played in Old Town San Diego and experience our annual Quilt Walk.

Trades That Shaped the West – August 3
See our blacksmiths, printers, woodworkers, and more to help you decide what job you would have chosen in the 1800s.

Days of the Vaqueros – August 10
See vaqueros – the original cowboys – ride, rope, and talk of life on the ranchos.

TwainFest – August 17
Literature comes to life through games and activities in the park.
