Cool Off At Aquatica San Diego

This South Bay Waterpark Is Cool!

By Courtney Daly-Pavone July 17, 2018

For the second year in a row, I found myself on a mini-vacation at Aquatica Waterpark in South Bay.  My seven-year-old is a fish who loves tradition, "Mom it's time to go to Aquatica remember we went last year? We need to go again!" Who could blame him for reminiscing about gliding down the water slide, relaxing on an inner tube in the lazy river, and feeling like a tourist on vacation? Off we went like the three Musketeers on our annual trek to cool off and have fun without hopping on a plane.

What's great about Aquatica? There's something for everyone.

Slippity Dippity

-Toddlers can splash the day away at Slippity Dippity, which includes kid-sized slides.

Whanau Way

Splash down one of six different 60-foot paths in this amazing water slide. Twist and plunge down Whanau Way's four enclosed and two open air slides.

Additional activities include: Big Surf Shores a 500,000 gallon wave pool with five foot waves, Loggerhead Lane a 1,250 foot long lazy river, Hoo Roo Run a water slide with an eighty-foot drop, Kiwi Curl and Tassie's Twister two twisting water slides, and Taumata Racer an ultra fast water slide for those who live life in the fast lane. Parents of older children can relax by the pool while their kids enjoy the park.  This is a great place to let your children burn off energy this summer!
