Did You Know That The San Diego Public Library Offers Free Classes For Teens?

The San Diego Public Library offers more than just story time.  It's an institution that has a variety of FREE Classes for Teenagers.  Teens can learn everything from Guitar to Cooking, Sewing, and Computer Coding.  Here are some interesting courses so Teens can continue learning over the summer break.

Free- Guitar Lessons Every Monday & Wednesday From 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm  Now until 6/11 @ The Central Library @ Joan & Irwin Jacobs Common Area 

Don't have a guitar? No problem, there are free guitars at the library for check-out.  Instructor Sam Chevalier a music major at SDSU. Ages 12+

Free- Common Thread Sewing Classes Fridays @ 2 pm The Central Library Innovation Lab 3rd Floor

Learn entry-level operating instructions for computerized sewing machines and beginning techniques. Ages 9-25

Free- Teen Film Production Club Meeting every 2nd and 4th Sunday @ 2 pm The Central Library Idea Lab (8th Floor)

Free- Urban Beats 1st Monday of Every Month From 3 pm to 5 pm @ The Central Library Pauline Foster Teen Center (2nd Floor)

Urban Beats is an innovative artistic expression program for Teens between the ages of 12-18. Come and share your story through music and/or spoken word. This program will help you find your voice, organize the message, and improve your confidence with a performance.

Free- Kids Coding Class Starts Tuesday 5/22 @ 3 pm The Point Loma Library
